On 20 July 2016, Lorna McGregor participated in a panel discussion on ‘Big Data, Health Data and Open Data’ at the ‘Privacy, Personality and Flows of Information’ conference in New York. This conference was part of a series of conferences coordinated under the auspices of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Privacy.
The conference focused broadly on the notions of privacy and personality and considered regional perspectives towards the understanding of the right to privacy in the digital age. Lorna provided expertise on the rights framework and issues at the intersection of human rights, big data and technology.
